“Several of my holistic friends have asked why I opted for surgery instead of trying alternative methods. Intuitively I knew I had to have the procedure—I listened to my body. Energy work and proper nutrition have allowed my heart to heal rapidly. In fact, three weeks after the surgery I walked the Disney Princess half marathon. My heart surgeon not only encouraged me, he insisted that I do it. After collapsing in three previous races, I honestly didn’t think I was going to complete the race, but at mile 8 I was feeling fresh, and knew I would finish.
It’s possible to be cured but not healed, or healed but not cured. The difference lies within.
If the journey to restore your health seems endless, don’t give up—you’re worth the effort! If you have health issues or the stresses of life begin to threaten your physical and emotional wellbeing, seek out medical professionals who will encourage your desire for a blended approach. Then join a supportive community like ours, whose mission is to educate, provide alternatives, and support your journey to optimal health.
As for me, the surgeons were responsible for my cure. The healing is up to me. You may get discouraged at times, and there may be some loose ends, but the road to a healthier you is possible. I know, I’ve run the race myself!”
